About SwimApp

SwimApp is a Brazilian swimming platform created in 2026 that aggregates official federation data — FAP (Paulista Aquatic Federation), CBDA (Brazilian Aquatic Sports Confederation) and regional organizers — into a single web interface. Today it serves athletes, coaches, clubs and families who follow competitions in São Paulo and other regions of Brazil.

The goal is to replace the traditional flow of PDFs scattered across WhatsApp groups with a searchable platform that lets you find heats, lanes and start times in seconds, follow official results with lap splits, relive every race in an animated replay, compare times against official qualifying times, and check rankings without depending on the club resending files.

Every feature is free and the data comes from the official files published by each federation — never from manual submissions by organizers.

Do I need to download an app?

You don't need to download anything. SwimApp works right in the browser on your phone, tablet or computer. If you want, you can also install it as a PWA to have an icon on your home screen and work offline — just open the app and tap "Add to Home Screen" in your browser menu.

Is SwimApp free?

Yes, SwimApp is 100% free. All the main features — start lists, results, athlete and club search, rankings, qualifying times, medals, race replays and live broadcasts — are available without paying anything and with no catch.

Who enters the competition data?

The data comes from the official files released by the federations (FAP, CBDA and regional ones). SwimApp automatically integrates the PDFs and spreadsheets published by the organizer, processes them with an automated pipeline, and makes them available in a searchable format within minutes of the official release. Organizers don't submit data manually.

Does it work for any swimming meet?

SwimApp works for meets already integrated into the platform — mainly from São Paulo federations (FAP), the Southeast region and CBDA. New regions and events are added continuously. If your meet isn't there yet, use the contact form.

Can I suggest a meet to be added to SwimApp?

Yes. Use the contact form on the homepage and provide the meet's name, date and organizer. We reach out to the organizer to make the integration possible.

How do I follow the live broadcast of a swimming competition?

SwimApp has a dedicated Broadcasts page (app.swimapp.com.br/transmissoes) that aggregates every competition with live YouTube coverage. Each event shows the videos for each session — just click to watch. Events happening that day get a LIVE badge at the top.

What is the race replay on SwimApp?

The race replay is a side-by-side animation of the swimming pool showing how each athlete swam in a heat. You see each lane advancing second by second, the gap between leaders, the pulse of the first place, and the final podium. It's reconstructed from each athlete's official splits. Available on any race that has imported splits.

How do I find the qualifying times for my category?

The Qualifying Times page (app.swimapp.com.br/indices) shows the official SP, BR and international cut-off times, separated by event, pool and category. On each result in your profile, SwimApp automatically indicates the qualifying time you hit, how much was missing for the next one, and marks it with a "PB" when it's a personal best.

Does SwimApp replace the organizer's start list PDF?

Yes. Instead of looking for heats and lanes in a 30-page PDF sent over WhatsApp, you open SwimApp, search for your name and immediately see all your races — heat, lane, scheduled time, session. It works the same on your phone, tablet or computer.

Can I follow my child swimming without creating an account?

Yes. All athlete search, event viewing, start lists and results work without logging in. Creating an account adds extra features like favoriting clubs and athletes, receiving notifications and customizing the header — but it's not required.

How do I install SwimApp on my phone?

On Android: open app.swimapp.com.br in Chrome, tap the menu (⋮) and choose "Add to Home Screen". On iPhone: open it in Safari, tap the share button and choose "Add to Home Screen". SwimApp becomes an icon like any native app, opens full screen without the browser bar, and receives push notifications. You need to be online to load data (start lists, results, rankings) — SwimApp is a connected platform.

Do I get a notification when my race result is out?

Yes — if you favorite the athlete and allow notifications. SwimApp sends a push when results of favorited races are published, when entries are confirmed and when a competition's broadcast starts.

Which federations are integrated into SwimApp?

Currently integrated are the Paulista Aquatic Federation (FAP) with its regions (1st through 8th), the Brazilian Aquatic Sports Confederation (CBDA) for national events, and regional organizers from the Southeast and ABDA. New federations are added based on user demand.

What's the difference between SwimApp and the club's WhatsApp group?

On WhatsApp the start list PDF is sent once, disappears in the feed, and you have to scroll 30 pages to find the athlete's name. On SwimApp each athlete has their own page, search finds them in 2 seconds, official results come out as soon as the federation publishes them, and there's also animated replay, rankings and qualifying times — all without depending on the club resending files.

What are splits in swimming?

Splits are the times recorded at each lap of the race (for example, the time at 50m, 100m, 150m of a 200m race). On SwimApp the splits appear expanded on each result and feed the animated replay — that's what makes it possible to visually reconstruct the race.

How is the SwimApp ranking calculated?

The ranking is calculated from each athlete's best official times by event, category and pool type (25m or 50m) within the current year. Data is drawn only from results of integrated competitions and validated against the federation's files. It's the same criterion FAP and CBDA use for official rankings.
